Better Now
Ok I'm feeling better now the anti-biotics have really kicked in. Still a little mad about the crossing but keeping fingers crossed for 2 weeks time. (Please all keep yours crossed for me too.) I have to admit that yesterday's entry was actually the second version. The first contained a LOT of very nasty words all in capitals and bold.
We are now in Wellington after a (boring) 5hr drive down. We stopped off at the International Gum Boot toss area and had a go at tossing Gum Boots (Wellies to you and me). I have some extreamly daft pictures of everybody. We had a small competion for the best boy or girl and the most 'creative'. Austria won the general and England won the creative! It was a very silly 30min. LOL
Kaye and I hit Wellington and are staying at the Base backpackers and all the girls on the bus were upgraded to a Sanctuary room. These are dorm rooms on a floor that is for girls only. You each get a towel, Aveda shampoo & condition and a free glass of Champagne at the bar. One of the shower rooms is equiped with a 'hollywood' mirror and free hair dryer.....hair dryer...*drooling*...straight hair!
We found the nearest Starbucks for a Chai Tea Latte and then went on for some retail therapy. Kaye kinda went overboard on the tea and we ended up drinking two of their biggest cup fulls. Well I had 1 & half Kaye had 2 & half! Have bought a pair of shorts seeing as my other pair is still at home and two very shiny t'shirts. We also ended up with a few books. (DON'T ask how many and we won't have to lie!)
We are currently waiting for the washing machines to finish so we can get our clothes dried and packed as we have to be ready to leave at 7 tomorrow morning to catch the ferry to the south island. It may be a day or two to update next as we will be in the Abel Tasman National Park which is not known for its internet access.
